CBT THERAPIST, ENERGY HEALER, KUNDALINI YOGA TEACHER AND HEALTH COACH
My Kundalini yoga teacher name is Tera Kaur (Given By 3HO Kundalini Teacher Organisation) and I offer Kundalini yoga and Chakra meditation classes. I also teach Chios energy healing and offer energy therapies (Reiki and Chios energy healing).
I feel passionate about my work as a complementary therapist, yoga and meditation teacher.
Life and the Universe/You-In-Verse can bring us lessons in many forms and finding the positive in it is not always easy… through the good and most challenging times (through my own health issues over the years), holistic health has always been the tool over the last 20 years that has helped me feel more grounded, make choices true to Self and get through, to feel "at home" in any location I travel to… it inspires me every day and reminds me that we are all connected…
My first memories of exploring meditation is in 1995… Since then, I have gained knowledge through further study, Self growth and various professional training courses, which include a BSc (Hons) Psychology, CBT therapy, Stress Management & Counselling, Chios Energy Field Healing, Bates Method, Kundalini yoga, Meditation and Relaxation Therapy. Each time, I allow my intuition to lead to where/what/who I need to connect with. Although I have been working as a therapist for 20 years, I always remain an open student and love to learn!
Using creativity to enhance my work is something that I really enjoy and it is the perfect challenge. I strongly feel that creativity works to bring positive changes to our Self and others. Creativity is a beautiful tool. This is something that I like to use in my work and life - colours, sounds, people etc. I also like to focus on keeping things practical.
This lead to me to sharing these tools 16 years ago in London (2004), where I began working in several clinics before running my own for 5 years in the heart of London’s financial district in London Wall. At my therapy space, we had a wonderful team of therapists (with a medical, psychology and holistic background).
It has been a huge learning process and each stage has taught me that change is something we should embrace… listening to the inner-calling is vital! Over the years, I have worked alongside some beautiful therapists and teachers also that have taught me about the ins-and-outs of working as a therapist. I try to always remain a student and learn.
So, from 2013, I experienced yet another urge to expand and explore – I chose to change the way I work and be more fluid and mobile in my approach to my holistic work. I give thanks for the way the holistic health field continues to do so too and offers beautiful opportunities.
London, Barcelona & Beyond!
Travel has always been important to me – I grew up with a mixed racial/cultural/spiritual family backgrounds, travelling around the world while growing up. I am curious and like to approach everything/everyone with an open mind. Most of my clients are from around the world and travel too, with many of my regular clients coming for sessions when they are in town or online- which gives me an inspiring insight into travel through other people's lives!
The funny thing is it wasn't in India or Bali (or any other classic spiritual place) where I feel like I first began my commitment to holistic health and spirituality - I have been a Londoner for more than 20 years now - It was in the heart of London, where all the challenges in really integrating these lessons happened for me. London is firmly the place I “found” my Self & my base, where I have first began my work/holistic studies, connected to many beautiful clients and souls over the years on my holistic journey – and now, Barcelona is my other yoga home (Yoga brought me here in the first place!), my connection back to my mother’s home country and a gorgeous city that nurtures me. I feel peace when I walk the streets of Barcelona, stroll along the beach and enjoy outdoor classes.
Currently, I work in London (UK) and online - I offer online sessions and courses to my clients around the world. I am also based in Liverpool Street, central London for sessions.
